When I purchased this bike the engine was blown up and out of the frame. I split the cases installed new gearbox bearings circlip and a cam chain. The barrel and pistons were not usable so I have a later barrel and pistons in the engine. I Honed the cylinders and installed new rings. It is the original head I had it reconditioned by "Grants Engines" The carbs have been overhauled including new float valves. This bike is great to ride the engine gearbox and clutch are excellent the brakes are progressive and strong and suspension is still firm. These model Kawasakis are the single most sought after of Japanese classics in the world today. The prices are going up so fast it is difficult to keep up with them. This is an ideal oppertunity to purchase a very nice Jaffa that can be usded on club runs and rallies as it is. Possibly restored at a later date
